HERE IS HOW YOU CAN GET INVOLVED WITH SUNSHINE DIVISION!

We are offering in-person volunteer opportunities once again!

All volunteers are required to be vaccinated for COVID-19 to participate.

Prior to volunteering, all volunteers must correspond with Volunteer Coordinator Sarah Jones

(email listed below).

Here are a few essential volunteer opportunities we are seeking:

Box Building

      • Work alongside a distanced group of volunteers at our Wilsonville Fulfillment Center to pack stable food into boxes for distribution. Group inquiries preferred. 
      • Location: Wilsonville Fulfillment Center, 30299 SW Boones Ferry Road, Wilsonville, OR, 97070

Food Sorting

      • Participate in a crucial step in our operations by sorting our dry food donations for distribution at our spacious Wilsonville Fulfillment Center on Wednesday mornings from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm.
      • Location: Wilsonville Fulfillment Center, 30299 SW Boones Ferry Road, Wilsonville, OR, 97070

Home Deliveries

      • Ensure that our homebound and/or medically fragile neighbors receive nourishing food on Mondays and/or Wednesdays at 9:00 am. Must be able to lift and carry 30lbs and have a valid driver’s license and auto insurance. 
      • Location: Thompson Street Headquarters, 627 N. Thompson Street, Portland, OR, 97227

Warehouse Assistance

      • We are looking for a dedicated individuals (or individuals) who are interested in helping at our Wilsonville Fulfillment Center weekly! Participants will help with taping boxes, recycling cardboard and various other tasks.
      • Scheduling is relatively flexible as most of these tasks can be completed with limited supervision!
      • Location: Wilsonville Fulfillment Center, 30299 SW Boones Ferry Road, Wilsonville, OR, 97070

Individuals and Families

We encourage individuals and families to volunteer with Sunshine Division.  From volunteering at an event, to packing emergency food boxes in our warehouse, volunteers play a vital role in the success of our organization. To work in our active warehouse, children volunteering must be 14 years of age or older for safety reasons.

Corporate Groups
Is your company looking to engage your employees in meaningful team-building exercises that also give back to our local community?
Become a Corporate Volunteer Partner with Sunshine Division!
In addition to the roles listed above, you can also help our organization by hosting:
  • Food Drives: Help us collect non-perishable food items that will feed local families and individuals. We will bring the food barrels to your office and pick them up.
  • Virtual Food Drives: If your team is working remotely, you can still support Sunshine Division through a virtual food drive that will raise funds to help us purchase food products.

Volunteering at Events

Sunshine Division organizes several food and fundraising events in the community throughout the year. Volunteers play a key role in making these events run smoothly. Events are varied and include: concerts, food drives, community partnership nights, golf tournaments, and auctions.

Volunteering in the Warehouse

If you are looking for a regular opportunity, at either our Wilsonville fulfillment center or N Thompson Street locations, during our business hours Monday through Friday, please contact us. Possibilities include: handing food out to clients, sorting food, and more.
