We value your participation and support and are committed to protecting your privacy. 

We ensure Sunshine Division’s website is a safe environment for all who visit, donate, and/or volunteer and have created this Privacy Policy to explain why we collect particular information and how we will protect your personal privacy both online and offline. 

We encourage you to read this Privacy Policy. Sunshine Division reserves the right to revise and update its policy at any time. Any changes to the current policy will be posted HERE (there are no changes at this time).

TYPES OF INFORMATION WE COLLECT AND HOW WE USE THAT INFORMATION 

Sunshine Division does not sell, exchange, or rent names or other personal information about our donors, volunteers, and/or website users. If you make a donation through the website, you will be added to our organizational database and will receive mailings and emails, unless you request to opt-out of or be removed from our mailing list(s). 

Sunshine Division may use your personally identifiable information to a) respond to your questions or comments about Sunshine Division; b) fulfill requests to volunteer, host a food drive, etc.; c) process your donation and send you a receipt; d) mail and/or email information about Sunshine Division’s programs, services, and needs that we believe will interest you; e) protect the security or integrity of the site; f) protect against a threat of safety or destruction of property; and g) protect against legal liability. Sunshine Division may offer public recognition of donors; any donor may request public anonymity when making a donation by emailing our Chief Development Officer, Bruce Patton.

Our online and offline donation, contact, event, or volunteer forms may require users and donors to give us contact information. This information may include name, e-mail address, phone number(s), and postal address. We do not request or store sensitive information from our visitors, such as credit card numbers or social security numbers. 

When you visit Sunshine Division’s website, we collect some non-identifying basic information from server logs. This includes the total number of visitors, pages viewed, type of browser you are using, type of operating system you are using, the domain name of your internet service provider, IP address and frequently used search words. We use this non-identifying basic information (aggregate data) internally to analyze site usage and to improve the content and design of the site. 

Sunshine Division requires employees and contractors who have access to personal information to protect information consistent with this Privacy Policy. Financial transactions processed on the internet or over the phone with Sunshine Division are secured in accordance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS), including credit card processing and token exchange.

INTERNET PROTOCOL ADDRESS
We collect an IP address from all visitors to our site. An IP address is a number that is automatically assigned to your computer when you use the internet. We use IP addresses to help diagnose problems related to our server, to administer our site, to analyze trends, to track users’ interests on our site, to gather broad demographic information for aggregate use for us to improve the site and to deliver customized, personalized content. IP addresses are not linked to personally identifiable information.
