Volunteer With Us

We are recruiting volunteers to serve in both the food pantry and the warehouse at our new headquarters. Food pantry volunteers work directly with clients to fulfill food box orders. Warehouse volunteers help sort food donations and fill food boxes. We’re forming a team that serves designated shifts each week and a pool of volunteers who can drop-in when it is convenient for them. To apply start with an application.

Join us at our SE Stark Street Food Pantry, where you’ll play a vital role in supporting our community. Open Tuesday through Saturday, we offer a personalized shopping experience for families and individuals in need of immediate food assistance.

Volunteers can assist clients in the lobby or help fill custom food box orders in the warehouse. Work alongside our dedicated staff and gain valuable skills in communication, organization, multitasking, and attention to detail.

Volunteering in our food pantry is an excellent opportunity for individuals or small groups to make a meaningful impact—and see the results of their efforts firsthand.

Sunshine Division’s new headquarters will open in April near downtown Portland and will begin welcoming clients and volunteers in the following weeks.

To join the food pantry or warehouse team at our new location, start with an application. If you are already part of the Sunshine Division volunteer team, you do not need to reapply.

Our Volunteer Coordinator will be in touch soon to provide start dates and site-specific training materials.
